Mistakenly erased my ticket on my phone. Trainline resent it the following day. Good, efficient service.
I booked train tickets 2 weeks before travelling. Received an email 48 hours before travelling to advise that due to recent changes all passengers needed a seat reservation. They advised they hadn't been able to sort one for me so either the train was full or had been cancelled. However when I went on the train companies website (Avanti) the exact train was running and I was able to reserve seats. Applied to trainline for a refund and booked direct with train company. Won't be using trainline again as there's no point. My advice is book direct with train operator and don't waste your time with trainline.
Here is my take on providing a service for a Fee, the service exist and the service is useable, if a train, regardless of company is cancelled then Trainline has not provided a service, so in my opinion full fee should also be refundable, Trainline takes the risk of arranging travel and if that does not happen for what because a train is cancelled, then trainline should refund whole charge, since Sunday 30th August I have had 3 return journeys cancelled in 4 days and only the fair refunded, now imagine I am only 1 customer, put all the other customers together that have had journeys cancelled and that is not a bad income,
Took a payment twice, said that they had processed my refund and that it would be my account within 5 working days, it's now two weeks later and I still have no refund, the rude customer service team members have told me they consider my refund processed and will not offer further assistance despite my having proof in the form of a bank statement that this is not the case, forcing me to pursue the matter through trading standards.
It seems that there is a pattern emerging here. I called to change my tickets two weeks ago due to illness. They told me they would refund the previous ones and I was to buy new ones while online with them. I did this. The refund came but only half the amount. Someone named Nida was on the help chat today. I sent her visual proof of the wrong refund. She said it was my bank’s problem! Then she said they would send an email for me to get further help FROM MY BANK ‘in the next five days’. She was rude and kept writing the same thing over and over, I guess just in case I didn’t get the message that they do not intend to refund the full amount EVER. I’ve been using Trainline for years. Not any more. Now for the trading standards complaint then....

'Online discount' - скидка при покупке билета через интернет, многие компании ее практикуют, и если там не указано доп. ограничений, то для вас она доступна.
Можно, но этот сайт сдерет мзду в свою пользу.
Советую покупать через сайт конкретной ж-д. компании, поездами которой поедете: тогда никакой доплаты нет. (впрочем, через сайт First Great Western я вполне бесплатно покупал билеты на поезда South West Trains; сайты других компаний не пробовал, однако вполне вероятно, что они работают так же).
